I regret absolutely nothing. We both know who Peyton's endgame was supposed to be. Besides, any chance to throw a dig at Leyton (or Lucas for that matter with the beginning) I will be taking. I also kept up my end of the deal vidding 5+ characters, no one said I had to be nice to any of them :P In all seriousness, I'm glad you liked it.

@@VioletEmerald Oh I know you did 😂 I mean I vaguely remember asking you if I could vid something on your no list for a birthday collab if it wasn't positive and it was the same type of idea of Jeyton being better than Leyton so, I knew you'd appreciate it. I'm just in a playfully snarky mood and I'm tired which amplifies it :P The matches I found make me so happy. I literally took the part for the rain scenes and everything else just happily fell into place. It worked out that I was making a birthday collab part of Jeyton which is how I re-found her Dad's advice, because it was just going to have a scene of Whitey originally.

I know it breaks my heart so much! I hope you subscribed to me. I'm posting an Amelia Shepherd character tribute later this month with some good Private Practice vidding again. And hopefully later this year another one. I'm actually editing 3 at once with no overlap of scenes between all 3 Amelia videos because between Grey's and Private Practice she has so much footage to work with now.

Glad you enjoyed seeing this! I'm sure the it's pretty possible to get quite similar transition effects if you really want to a number of other ways. Or even in whatever this video editing software evolved into itself.

I don't know why you torture yourself clicking on a fanvideo like this, you may be training the algorithm to show you more motherhood related videos... If you did watch the video I hope you enjoyed our lyric matching, some of the sweet scenes, something about it! It's valid you want to be childfree. That's fine. If you really are confused as to why people have children, well... One other thing the studies show is it matters that this is what the childfree woman wanted though, that it felt like her own choice and not that she was forced by circumstances to miss out on a deep desire of hers -- being childless for some women can cause a lot of grief and despair. And while maybe people who choose to be childfree are better at prioritizing their own happiness compared to a lot of the people who choose to have kids... there's also the chance that the people who have kids without realizing what it really entails, how hard it'll be, or without fixing their own mental health first or like all the people accidentally finding themselves with a kid from unprotected sex but not planning on it... There's a lot of people who maybe regret having kids who are skewing the happiness data "on average" for those who have kids to much lower than it would otherwise be. I think for many people, there is a deep drive towards procreating or at least for parenthood that's different than the drive for happiness. It can be biological like a sex drive and even if not everyone feels it or it's overridden by other desires for some humans, it's still there for a lot of us. The point for most mothers isn't happiness, but rather fulfillment and a sense of purpose in life that they have decided they wanted that purpose or at least part of their purpose to be their child or their children's lives. I mean I see a post on reddit about this where someone who fostered a teen mentioned: "Watching someone experience their firsts. For a baby that would be first steps or first words. But I got to see my kid eat Indian food for the first time and learn to drive. It's an amazing feeling." and "There's something about nurturing another human being that I find super fulfilling. Your mileage may vary" -- but yeah I think a lot of parents see the world through fresh, exciting eyes by looking through their child's. First snow, the magic of Christmas in the air, it feels different when you have kids in your life. I think that's also what the lyric in this song "May you never lose the wonder in your soul" is getting at too. It's so great to witness. It can be enough to feel this through an extended family member's kid for some people, but it's bigger when it's your own kid, and more frequent you get to experience it, and... Someone else on that post said: "What I found is that all of the 'cons' seemed absolutely terrible when they were hypothetical, but when my sister had kids and I actually started spending time with my nephews, I adored them. I smiled a lot more when I was with them and I really liked that they added fun and joy to my days." Someone else said: "I agree completely that all of the negatives associated with a hypothetical potential child of the future become very very different when you have a real life human being in front of you reliant on you. The abstract is very different from the reality in a good way." and added "when your kid holds your hand walking it’s so sweet" which is kinda what the chorus of this song evokes. Someone else mentioned: " I think it's a useful analogy to look at dogs. My dogs are a pain in my butt sometimes. When my boy wakes me up first thing to go for his morning walk, sometimes I just want to sleep more. But I get a huge amount of joy from something so small and dumb as my boy drooling when it's time for dinner or yowling when he's excited we just got home. Or my girl demanding to cuddle or learning new words we never intended to teach her. Would kids be more than that to me? Worth the extra effort? Are my dogs enough satisfaction for my nurturing side? Idk, that's why I'm here. But i see a lot of similar pros. It's deciding if you want the more intense version of that." which that last one is funny because I'm NOT a dog person and get no joy from other people's dogs, I don't see how slobber will be different when it's "my" pet, I don't see myself ever enjoying it or finding any normal dog things endearing. But kids I always find endearing. :) The other thing is the magic of your body creating a human is pretty amazing and "cool" to a lot of women, and the magic of two people who are in love creating one new human being who's genetically a combination of both of you is very alluring and special and hard to describe for some happy man/woman type couples. It's really a unique experience and thing.

@@VioletEmerald But studies have shown that single childless women are much happier than married women with children are. How does having children make your life better? Pregnancy and having birth can be very risky. Many women have problems for life regarding incontinence, PTSD from the pain of the delivery, sleep deprivation for a few years, and postpartum depression. And some women actually die or end up in ICU during childbirth. Not to mention, some of the consequences of giving birth are lifelong. Fun fact: Pregnancy/after birth, most women suffer from depression and self-hate. Motherhood is scary, and even life threatening. Also, the skeletal structure of the hip changes too and its irreversible no matter what exercises they try out. There is also the risk of postpartum psychosis. Having kids sounds scary. Also, having kids is very financially difficult. I don't see why women would ever want to have children. I just don't understand why they would want to go through all of that.

Miles was 15 years old when season 1 was filmed. That's still really young. On TV 15 year olds play 12 or 13 yes. They usually cast older actors

Thank you so much! I didn't remember that detail that you never finished watching this series. Season 5 (the final season) was obviously rough writing at places since suddenly losing multiple main cast members was not easy but I still love some of the storylines in that season so much.

I always imagined vidding this song for the TV series Prison Break or something. Idk why I love it so much. It's like super bittersweet in a way not many songs are. So sad in a desperate way and full of some positive expressions of love at once...

I just noticed that there's a Duran Duran poster in her childhood bedroom at 3:57 lol... When I first watched the show there was no widescreen mode available, same as when I first was vidding it for years. The details that got lost!!

Your parts were very emotionally resonant and fit the part well! Love them. You make me curious to watch La Brea for sure too, not just All American ;) Also I have extra Private Practice feels after watching this collab, between Eventyrpige's part and then seeing the actor who played Billy in your All American part. (all I remember seeing him in was Private Practice. ;) )

So emotional to reconnect after SO long... And yes I love how your part transitioned into my Parenthood part but also into the Hopper/Eleven part you mentioned! I actually had to re-render the whole collab after the first render to improve the transition into Hopper/Eleven to not cover up too much of that great kiss on her head. I loved your 3 parts SO much -- you actually really make me want to see Fire Country every time you vid it ;) And thanks, I am glad you like my Parenthood part and my song choices 😊- it's been really fun finding such good songs to vid for this kind of theme for so many years :)

Thanks for all your effort! 1883 is a tv show, a short prequel to Yellowstone about how the family originally arrived in Montana traveling through the great planes with other hopefuls who were going to Oregon etc (not really knowing what they signed up for going on that long trip). it was so good like all the shows in this franchise.

I loved your part SO much, gosh!! That was a blast from the past for me. I vidded Dell's death and Betsey's grief once in a tiny collab part but I never vidded all those sweet moments and the love before the episode where he was dying. You make me want to drop everything to rewatch the Betsey storyline from the beginning. Gosh. Thanks for participating!

I did decide to start rewatching all the Betsey episodes last night ;) Or at least the Dell scenes in those episodes... Ah it's so good. It's been over 12 years I think since I saw this. Unless I'm forgetting a rewatch. Probably I did rewatch a lot of the show much more recently but idk if it was only the Amelia episodes (probably) so not the first Betsey eps. But the first time I watched was then! I vidded my one main Private Practice fanvideo around May 2012, the same month I was graduating from my university!

It's a Deleted Scene from the Season 3 DVD set. It's been uploaded to UA-cam. It's in the season 3 finale, the final time in the Independence Inn set they brought back the actress who played Young Lorelai earlier in season 3 for a flashback scene. Also thank you SO much!! What an amazing compliment to know you enjoyed my video enough to watch it so many times!!
